Message from the
Chairman
The Institute continues to contribute fresh and
useful insights to debates about aspects of public policy through a programme
of seminars, conferences and publications. Our ambition is to provide an actual
and virtual meeting place for the open-minded exchange of knowledge and ideas
on topics of importance arising at Scottish, UK, European and a wider
international level. We want to help bridge the gap which too often exists
between business, government and academe by bringing together and engaging the
interests of individuals from all these communities. If you have thoughts as to
how we can achieve these aims more successfully please let us know.
The reputation of those we are able to attract to
speak or write for us is evident from our list of publications and events. But
we are not an exclusive organisation. We welcome men and women of all ages who
are keen to contribute, or just to inform themselves better. Our early evening
seminars in particular are friendly affairs which generally provide an
opportunity to meet the speakers individually.
